Fixing Guide: xBox 360 3rlod - 3rl fix or xBox360 3rod
If you ever come across these cryptic
abbreviations
xBox 360 3rlod - 3rl fix or xBox360 3rod problem fix, you
should know that the RL, RLOD and the ROD
in the abbreviation mean “red light”, “red lights of
death”, “red ring of death or doom”.
Now that we’ve got the definitions out of the way, we’d like to
say that the 3 red lights of death have been the boon of
Microsoft’s xBox 360 ever since it came out in the market in
2005.
Some sources have estimated that out of the 18
million xBox 360 units that have been sold all over the world,
around 30% of them have been bogged down by overheating. Don’t
worry, it’s not your fault. None of it is ever your fault if
you’re just a gamer trying out the latest trends in gaming fun.
Microsoft itself has committed some major blunders in design by
downsizing the LSI heat sink. Although Microsoft does not admit
it, this is the major flaw in the xBox’s hardware design.
A reduced heat sink to accommodate a DVD
drive makes the xBox console very prone to overheating. On a
very hot day your console could be as hot as 100 degrees, not F
but C or Centigrade.
The red rings of death have sent both hardcore gamers and
service center technicians reeling. The technicians are reeling
from being overworked.
On the other hand, the hardcore gamers have to suffer not seeing their consoles for at least four weeks when they send them out to the service centers. Sending the consoles to the service centers can cost money too.
If your warranty is voided or if your
console is not anymore covered by warranty,
you need to pay $140 for the repair.
The 3 red lights on the power button (all sections of the button
are lighted up in red except for the top right hand side) are
all you need to see to know if your gaming console needs an 3 RL
xBox fix.
The 3 red rings of death\doom are indication that xBox is having very serious general hardware problems.
There are two things you can do
about the 3 red
rings of death-doom:
- Send it to a repair center, or
- Fix it yourself
In ideal situations when your xBox is still covered by
warranty, you should send your toy to the service center.
Understandably, however, with the number of gaming consoles
gushing towards the service centers, it may take at least four
weeks before you can get your xBox back (a very, very long time
for hardcore gamers).
Of course, you can always try to fix
your console through your mental powers, but we don’t encourage
you to bet on it.
Thankfully,
we have resources that can help
you fix your xBox console in as short as 30 minutes. And you
don’t have to pay $140 to have them. Don’t worry, none of the
fix-it techniques you’ll find in them involve towels.
What they feature are real life techniques that the technicians
at the service centers use for xBox 360 3rlod - 3rl
- 3rod problem fix.
